Paleo Desserts Are Delicious

Paleo Desserts Are Delicious

The Paleo diet is not about depriving yourself of the foods you love. It is about making small changes that make big changes in your appearance and the way you feel. Why start a diet where there are no desserts ? I dont know about you, but Im not going to last very long with that. I love desserts and chances are you do too. I am happy to report that there is no shortage of Paleo desserts. In fact, there is a motherlode of Paleo desserts.
To be Paleo, a dessert should not be made with grain flours or dairy. Fortunately that is not really a problem once you get used to the substitutions. Paleo goodies are available two ways. You can purchase them, or bake them yourself. If you are baking Paleo treats, most of the time you will be substituting nut flours for all purpose flour. That is probably the biggest difference in creating delicious Paleo desserts.Once you get used to the flour substitution, the sky is the limit when it comes to Paleo goodies. There are plenty of Paleo brownies, Paleo cookies, puddings, tarts, cakes, mousse, and even frozen Paleo treats like ice cream.
There are many Paleo dessert recipes online, and many on Pinterest. Here are 20 nice recipes from My Natural Family. These include Paleo brownies, Paleo chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate cakies and many more.  You can find a huge selection of Paleo desserts here, on Pinterest. Here is a great one forPaleo Toffee Caramels.

Sooner or later as you get better at Paleo, you will want a good cookbook like Paleohacks Cookbook for recipes and instructions to create delicious Paleo treats at home. The main book of Paleohacks Cookbook offers a large selection in their Paleo desserts section. Here are some of the Paleo dessert recipes from Paleohacks Cookbook.
  • Blueberry Pear Crumble
  • Coconut and Lime Custard
  • Blueberry Sorbet
  • Almond & Honey Biscuits
  • Lemon Souffle
  • Nutty Banana Pops
  • Cinnamon Twist Nut Bars
  • Mango and Passion Fruit Sorbet
  • Coconut and Walnut Macaroons
  • Mixed Berry Compote
  • Chocolate Macaroons
And many more. There are also desserts and simple paleo foods in the other bonus books. Once you get the Paleohacks Cookbook, you will also be able to purchase a seperate book of strictly Paleo desserts.
You may be wondering about chocolate. Some Paleo dieters do not eat chocolate, but many do. Paleolithic man did not have chocolate, but chocolate is not related to the foods that cause problems such as grains. There are also some health benefits to natural chocolate. So the decision is yours. Most paleo people allow themselves some chocolates in their diet.
The advantages of Paleo desserts are many. You get to enjoy sweet treats along with all the great meals that are available on the Paleo diet. You are getting all the sweet rewards, while avoiding the elements that make you fatter and unhealthy. Many Paleo dieters enjoy delicious Paleo desserts every day. You may want to start your own plan for Paleo desserts. You can enjoy them everyday, every other day, only weekends or whatever you decide.
